Ministries that Make a Difference
The Chapel’s ministries flow from a desire to serve others and share the love of Jesus in both word and action. Whether it’s welcoming international students, meeting practical needs, providing spiritual encouragement, or partnering with the local community, each ministry reflects our mission to be the hands and feet of Christ. Through hospitality, discipleship, and outreach, we seek to build meaningful relationships, strengthen faith, and create lasting connections that extend far beyond Corolla.
International Student Ministry
Every Wednesday evening from June through August, the Chapel welcomes international students working in Corolla for a night of food, fun, and fellowship. This outreach shares the unconditional love of Jesus with many who may have never heard the Gospel, experienced Christian community, or may have once felt uncertain about it. Far from home, these students find a place of belonging, encouragement, and support through the caring volunteers who serve them each week.

"Pastor of Peddle Power"
The Chapel has collected and refurbished nearly 300 bicycles, providing them for international students to use during their time in Corolla. Many students live up to three miles from their workplaces, and with no public transportation available, commuting can be both time-consuming and exhausting after a long workday. These bikes not only make daily life easier, but they also open the door to building relationships, sharing God’s love, and forming incredible friendships that now span the globe.

Exploring History, Culture, and Faith
Whenever possible, our volunteers arrange trips off the Outer Banks to historical sites and points of interest, giving students a chance to experience more of America—its history, its beauty, and its rich cultural diversity. These outings create natural opportunities to deepen friendships and open doors for meaningful conversations. As part of the ministry, students are also invited to explore the Christian faith through study groups, personal conversations, and the sharing of life-changing testimonies.

Thanksgiving
Each Thanksgiving season, we collect food to support local seniors in need, as well as other individuals identified through our local Social Services. With the help of the local 'Extensions' group, each family receives ten bags of groceries—providing not only nourishment, but also a reminder that they are cared for and supported by their community.

Christmas
In partnership with the 'Extensions' group, we identify and sponsor foster children each Christmas. This year, over 35 children received gifts—bringing joy to their lives and blessings to our entire community.
